Newport News man shot in Hampton on Friday night
HAMPTON A Newport News man was in critical condition after he was shot several times Friday night in Hampton, police said. The shooting was reported about 11:30 p.m. in the first block of Emeraude Plage. The man, 29, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police are asking that anyone with information on the shooting call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

NEW YORK (AP) ABC News has called into question its reporting on acceleration problems with Toyota vehicles. The network's handling of a Feb. 22 "World News" story about potential problems with computer systems in Toyotas has created ethical questions and intensified bitter feelings the besieged automaker already had toward ABC.
